Hi! My name is Kim MacCrone.
I am a Certified Veterinary Technician with over 20 years of experience in the Veterinary Field.
With this experience I feel I am an ideal candidate to instruct others in Pet Safety and CPR. I have seen many pet emergencies in my field over the past 24 years. I have learned something from each of them.
I choose to become Certified as a Pet Safety/ CPR Instructor because in my opinion, any pet owner or pet business who can, should have these skills so that they can be prepared in case of an emergency or injury involving their pet or that of another pet.
Working at a Veterinary Clinic not only do I see happy, wiggly patients come through the doors, but unfortunately I also am a witness to many un-foreseen or preventable emergencies. Many of the emergencies could have had a more favorable outcome if the owners had been educated.

It is important to me that the public receive education about pet health, safety and first aid.
My passion in life has always been about animals. I am also heavily involved in continuing education so that I can assist clients in keeping up with important medical information about their pets.
I am the owner of Vetek Chic On Wheels which is an “In-Home” Pet Nursing Service in which I provide nursing assistance to pets after they arrive back home with their pet from the Veterinary Hospital as well as provide demonstration sessions for administering subcutaneous fluids and insulin injections.

Often people feel overwhelmed, anxious and abandoned with their pets medical care at home. It can be frightening to administer that first insulin injection by themselves, or the subcutaneous fluid administration to their cat or dog. Even ear cleaning can be challenging! I don’t want owners to give up on their pet's care once back home! Both owner and pet lose out if that happens!
